The Celebration of Student Writing & Research is a university-wide showcase of student writing and research projects. It encourages students to re-present and display their scholarly and creative work in formats other than word-processed letters and lines on the printed page. The Celebration is held in conjunction with Research ShowCASE and the Intersections: SOURCE Undergraduate Symposium & Poster Session; it is co-sponsored by the Center for the Study of Writing and SAGES.

All teachers of writing-intensive courses (along with their students), any CWRU student organization or group with an emphasis on writing, and SAGES seminars are invited and encouraged to participate in this intellectually rich and interdisciplinary event. The Celebration of Student Writing course/group presentations offer an entire class (or group of students) the opportunity to display and discuss their writing projects from the semester.

Traditionally the event is held in person, but for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, the event will be held virtually, using an online portal and digital tools for presentation and participation. You can view some of the virtual projects from the Fall 2020 virtual event here: CSWR Newsletter (Fall 2020 Virtual Event)

Interested? Please see the CSWR Fact Sheet (Spring 2021) for details to help plan for your class and participate.

SAGES Seminar Leaders will receive an email with registration information early to mid semester.

Abstracts and newsletters from past Celebrations are available in our Key Document archive.
